Signs that could mean your child is being bullied

* Unexplained injuries, such as bruising, scratches, and cuts.  These may be kept hidden from you.

* Frequent minor illnesses such as headaches, stomach aches, not sleeping.

* Loss of confidence/self-esteem.

* Disinterest in attending groups or isolating.

* Asking for money or stealing money- sometimes bullies will threaten to give money or items (ex. Air Jordans).

* School reports that there has been a change in behavior or school performance.

* Change in routine, for example, taking a different route home from school.

* Unexpected loss of personal items or damage to items.

* Becoming aggressive with or lashing out at other family members, including bullying siblings.

* Oversensitive to criticism.

* Self-harming behaviors or suicidal ideations.

* Refusing to eat, binging and purging.

* Engaging in drugs, alcohol or other risky behaviors.
